Potato masala and Spinach Dal Curry
I almost make this curry once in two weeks. I love the combo of keerai kozhambhu (spinach dal) with potato masala. My husband is not a big fan of greens, but he love this spinach dal.
Adding lots of garlic into this spinach dal makes it different and tastes sooo good. There is something about this combination that’s so tasty for a south Indian Palette. And the potato curry also makes a great combination for dishes like sambar, paruppu urundai kozhambhu andย yogurt rice.

Shirya,
Potato masala and spinach dal curry makes wonderful dinner or lunch. I love it.
Here’s where I confess my sometimes-unfamiliarity with desi food terms. What is toor daal? Is it the little, oval, yellow ones? I do have a gorgeous bunch of fresh spinach and we are trying to cut back on the meat so we may have a winner in this dish. Now if only I could figure out this toor business ๐
