Potato Vada

Ingredients:
- Potato (Peeled and grated) – 1/2 cup
- Urad dal – 1 cup
- Raw rice – 1/4 cup
- Red chillis – 8
- Asafoetida powder – 1 pinch
- Green chillis – 5
- Curry leaves – little
- Cilantro – little
- Ginger – 1 piece
- Salt to taste
- Oil to fry
Preparation:
- Soak rice and urad dal separately in water.
- Drain the water and grind rice, urad dal with red chillies and asafoetida powder.
- Chop ginger, green chillies, curry leaves and cilantro finely and mix with the ground mixture.
- Add the grated potatoes, salt and mix well.
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Make small patties of the mixture and fry them in oil.
