Ingredients
- Meat :1/2kg
- Channa dal : 1 cup
- Red chillies: 2 nos
- Green chillies: 3 nos
- Ginger : 1 inch piece
- Garlic : 3 nos
- Cumin : 1 1/2tspn
- salt (to taste)
- oil :as needed for frying
- Egg :1(nicely Beaten)
For filling
- Onions : 3 nos(Medium)(finely chopped)
- Corriander Leaves : as per required(Finely chopped)
- Ginger :1/2inch (finely chopped)
Masala Powder
- Pepper Corns : 5
- Cinnamon stick : 2 big
- Cardamom :2 nos
Method of Preparation
- Take a pan and pour 4 cups of water into it.Add the meat, Channa dal ,all the spices including the Masala powder, chopped garlic, chopped ginger .
- Boil the mixture on medium heat until the meat becomes tender .After that remove it from heat and let it cool.
- Grind the above mixture and Mix it with Beaten Egg.
- Knead this mixture well.
- In Between this prepare the filling and keep it ready.
- Take a lemon size portion of the meat mixture and make it in to a flat round edged piece and make a small dent in the center.
- Place the filling in the dent and Reshape the piece covering the filling intoa flat round edge piece again.
- Do the same with remaining mixture.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and add 4 to 5 kababs at a time in a medium heat until it becomes brown and crispy on both sides.
Tip:
You could also Pressure cook the meat and spices instead of boiling it.cook for 3 whistle and then let it cook in low heat for 10 minutes until all the water evaporates .
You could use chicken ,mutton or beef.But it tastes best with mutton.
