How to Check the freshness of eggs?

To check out if your eggs have gone bad or not, there is a simple way. Just drop the eggs in water. If it is good it will sink otherwise it will float.

How to avoid bugs in your pantry?

Periodic cleaning of your pantry shelves helps to prevent bugs from infesting stored food products.
Drop a bay leaf in your flour canisters to get rid off bugs and free from moisture.
If you find your food product infested with bugs, keep them under sun for a two to three days and sieve out the bugs. Also, exposure to cold temperatures kills them.
Try to keep the food products in an air tight container and clean the containers before refilling.

Is your dish too salty?

If so, just add a few pieces of cut raw potatoes and then remove them once they are cooked and the salt is absorbed. This can be used in case of soups or gravies.You can even add a sugar or cider vinegar to remedy the situation.

Quick peel:

To peel garlic cloves quicker, just microwave them for 10 seconds. Or, keep the garlic clove in a cutting board under the flat surface of the knife and strike the top of the knife. Garlic breaks open and it will be easy to peel the skin.

For crispy dosa:

Add a hand full of soaked raw rice (soak for an hour) while grinding boiled rice for dosa batter. Dosa will be crispy.

To avoid bitterness in onion paste:

Saute onions in a little oil and grind for onion paste. Raw onion paste will be bitter.

You don’t like the egg smell in cakes?

To reduce the smell of eggs in cakes, add a tablespoon or a two of honey to the cake batter while beating.
