How to Clean Burnt Pot?

One of the toughest job is to clean the burnt pot. In fact, I just recently experienced it. I was heating oil to fry some papads and I totally forgot it and started working on the computer. The vessel started burning and then I realized and ran into the kitchen. Finally I cleared all the mess but it was too difficult for me to clean up the pot. Seriously I’ve soaked it in soap water for a week. No luck.

One of my friends  shared this tip with me and my pot is clean now. Here is the tip,

Boil some water in your burnt  pot with some stalks of rhubarb and after that bring into a complete boil. After 2-3 minutes remove from heat let it cool and Voila the stains will be gone. If it’s little heavy stain you may need some scrubbing to do.

How to Clean Freezer?

Whenever you defrost  your freezer, wipe over the surface inside with some cooking oil. It makes it easy to remove the ice when you defrost next time.

How to Sharpen In-sink-erator blades/Waste disposable blades?

Usually I don’t throw boiled egg shells into the trash. I just put into the sink-erator so the blades get sharpened by it. Likewise, if you put some ice cubes and make it grind, the blades will get sharpened.

In a wide glass dish fill up some warm water and add aluminum foil (cut it into pieces) around 6-8 pieces. Add a tbsp of carb soda into it. Now place all the spoons, knives, forks into the dish. Leave it for 10 minutes after that remove and dry. All the silverware will be sparkling.

To remove some black marks in your kitchen vinyl floor which has been sitting for along time, just take some tooth paste on a kitchen towel rub it over the mark till  it’s all gone. Toothpaste won’t damage your floor.
