Mullangi Chutney / Radish Chutney
Whenever we think of Radish, the first thing that comes to our mind is Radish Sambar or Radish Paratha. My Grandmother usesd to make chutneys with all veggies. This Radish Chutney can be made in many ways. It will take just 15 minutes to make this chutney and it will be good with Idly / Dosa or even rice.

Ingredients:
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Red chillies – 4
- Urad dal – 1 tsp
- Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
- Onions – 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
- Radish – 1 1/2 cups (peeled, washed and cut into small cubes)
- Turmeric powder – a pinch
- Salt – to taste
For seasoning:
- Oil – 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Split urad dal – 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves – a few
- Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan and fry red chillies, cumin seeds, urad dal, coriander seeds and onions.
- Fry till the onions become translucent and add the turmeric powder followed by the chopped radish.
- Add some salt and fry till they change to golden brown.
- Let it cool and grind it to a slightly smooth paste.
- Season it with mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves.
- Serve hot with rice or Idly / Dosa.
