Veggie Sub Sandwich

Veggie Sub Sandwich is very easy to make and a delicious simple sub for veggie lovers. You can make it at home easily with vegetable patty along with your favorite veggies wrapped in your choice of bread. I just love the veggie delight sub from Subway. After I started making this sub at home, believe me our visit to subway has gone down. Here you go…

Preparation time: 10 to 15 minutes

Spice level: 2 out of 5

No. of servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • French bread loaf – 1
  • Veggie patty – 2
  • Cheese slices – 4
  • Sliced cucumber – 1/2 cup
  • Sliced tomatoes – 1/2 cup
  • Chopped onions – 1/2 cup
  • Jalapeño pickle – 1/4 cup
  • Lettuce – 1 cup
  • Mustard sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
  • Salt and Pepper

Method of Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut the French loaf into your desired, say 6″ or foot long and slit it open length wise as in picture. I usually get the bread from Sam’s or the local store.
  3. Cut each cheese slice into two triangle pieces and place it in the bread. You can keep 3 to four pieces of cheese. I used Pepper Jack Cheese. You can use your favorite cheese.
  4. Toast the bread in the preheated oven for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese melts.
  5. In between, toast the veggie patties and cut into half.
  6. Now place the veggie patties in the toasted bread and layer all the vegetables on top of it.
  7. Squeeze in some mustard sauce and mayo.
  8. Sprinkle some salt and pepper. Enjoy your sub.
  9. You can avoid the cheese and sauces if you want to eat healthy. Even plain toasted bread tastes great.
